Toyota Material Handling honored by European Agency for Safety and Health at Work

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) honoured its European Safe Maintenance campaign partners during a Safe Maintenance Conference hosted by the Belgium EU Presidency in Brussels on November 25th.

Attendees heard from a distinguished group of panellists, including Mr László Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, and Dr. Jukka Takala, Director of EU-OSHA. The European Partners also received their partnership certificates from Commissioner Andor and Dr. Takala.

Andrew Elliot, EVP Marketing, Toyota Material Handling Europe, was invited to join two other panellists in discussing the importance of the Safe Maintenance Campaign and explaining what TMHE is doing to support this campaign.

“Service and maintenance is very much at the heart of what we do,” Mr Elliot said, pointing out that TMHE has more than 4,000 service and maintenance technicians in its European network and 2,000 employees working in its factories. “We are honoured to have been chosen as a partner in this important campaign and will continue to use it to raise awareness and knowledge about the importance of maintenance and safe maintenance practices.”
